About Dr. Kanwaljeet Singh

Dr. Kanwaljeet Singh is the Principal Director & Senior Consultant Gastrointestinal Surgeon (Surgical Gastroenterologist), Laparoscopic Surgeon, and GI Endoscopist, with 30 years of experience. Formally trained at Government Medical College, Chandigarh, and SGPGIMS, Lucknow, he has an outstanding academic record and was awarded the University Gold Medal for Best Postgraduate Student in Surgery. He is recognized as the first and seniormost gastrointestinal surgeon in Punjab and the surrounding region.

Due to his vast experience, he is frequently invited as faculty to train surgeons at conferences and workshops. He has authored several chapters and articles in textbooks and journals. Additionally, he is the only officially appointed mentor in North India by the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI) for training GI and general surgeons in endoscopy, having already trained over 100 surgeons.

With access to state-of-the-art operation theaters, a dedicated surgical ICU staffed by highly trained intensivists, in-house radiology facilities (ultrasound, CT scan, MRI), a 24/7 laboratory, and a fully equipped blood bank, he routinely performs high-risk and complex abdominal surgeries, which are often referred to tertiary care institutes like PGI Chandigarh and AIIMS Delhi.
